Major Tank Buffs and Jungle Changes Coming to League of Legends Patch 12.23
Nov-29-2022
LoL patch 12.23 notes let you know how Riot will improve the balance in Season 13. Special attention has been paid to tank and jungle champions, which have received significant changes. This was necessary because the rating season starts in January, and in anticipation of it, the game should have the maximum balance in everything.
Season 13 in LoL can be called unequivocally successful, however, there are some shortcomings that it is important for developers to correct for the upcoming patch. So, top lane duelists turned out to be too strong when buying new items, which affected the value of tanks in the game. Also, the jungle is somewhat broken due to balancing issues and exploits. So in 12.23, these two aspects will be worked out first.
It's worth remembering that patch 12.23 is due to be released on December 7 and will be the last major update of 2022. Further updates along with the 13th season will be presented after the Christmas holidays. The main changes in 12.23 will affect the jungle, where you can now get more experience, but less gold.
Changes will affect the attack range of neutral units so that any champion can farm them comfortably. Also, there will be a number of individual changes for junglers. Dr. Mundo will get useful buffs, while the dominant forces Trundle, Shyvana, and Lillia will be nerfed.
A number of changes are made to tanks that have had a harder time finding their way into the game due to a number of changes to duelists and fighters, as well as new items. But this will be fixed in the upcoming update. Riot intends to give a number of buffs to tanks that will allow them to return to the game. There is hope that the win rate of tanks, which has fallen by 3% since the last update, will stabilize after the changes take effect.
