Samsung Is Preparing a ‘Superfast’ Charging Feature for Its Devices

China sets new trends that are quickly picked up by technology manufacturers from around the world. Ultra-fast charging technology is becoming more and more popular. OPPO and OnePlus have VOOC charging formerly called Warp Charge, while Realme has models with Dart or UltraDart Charging.

Despite the great technological progress, Samsung until recently did not care too much about providing such functionality in its products. However, a new report indicates that Samsung is about to make a major breakthrough in this direction, and soon all devices may receive the ability to be charged quickly.

The first thing that points to the fact that Samsung devices will have this new feature is the recently filed trademark for a patent for "Samsung Superfast Portable Power." It belongs to the category of batteries and chargers for mobile phones.

And this means that most likely Samsung has finally decided to go beyond 45W and offer customers a new level of speed for charging. The very name "Superfast" also gives optimistic reasons to believe that we will see a big step forward in charging speeds.

Meanwhile, this news should be taken with a grain of salt, since very often the registration of a particular patent does not mean anything at all. Very often, large companies do this with the future in mind, and then completely abandon their old project.

The new Samsung Galaxy S23 is rumored to have 25W charging. And it is quite possible that S23 Ultra and S23+ will get 45W again. Will the possibility of super-fast charging appear in Samsung technology soon? How important is this feature when you’re deciding which smartphone to choose? Please share your opinion below.
