The Mobile Version Of "GTA: The Trilogy" Is Reportedly Outperforming Its PS5 Counterpart

The launch of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition was met with less than enthusiastic reviews, and despite multiple updates to improve the initial shortcomings, issues still lingered. However, with the latest release of the mobile versions, these games have received additional refinements, suggesting that the optimal experience of the trilogy may now be on a smartphone.

Rockstar's official site states, "The iconic Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas titles are now available for individual purchase on mobile platforms, enhanced with extra upgrades, including the newly added Classic Lighting mode, which recaptures the ambiance of the original game skies."

Recent footage on an iPhone 15 highlights the Classic Lighting feature that vividly recreates the original sky aesthetics, along with indications that various glitches have been addressed. Whether future enhancements will be applied to the console iterations remains uncertain. Presently, if your aim is to enjoy GTA: The Trilogy in its finest and most polished form, turning to a mobile device appears to be the recommended choice.
