Extended Post-Launch Content Confirmed for Payday 3

Nearly a decade after Payday 2 was published, Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studios are set to release the third major installment in the heist series next month. They have ambitious plans for post-launch content, indicating high expectations for the game.

Andreas Häll Penninger, the lead producer, spoke to IGN about the game's long-term strategy, intending to consistently update the game over time. This is something that will likely excite fans:

"In creating Payday 3, we have established a solid base that will allow us to continue its consistent updating. Together with our partner Deep Silver, we can anticipate a minimum of 18 months of post-launch content.

We plan to add more content, both free and paid, whether that includes new characters, heists, weapons, gadgets, or outfits."

Payday 3 goes live on September 21 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, with full support for cross-play. The game is also available from the first day with Game Pass.
