ELDEN RING review

Elden Ring, the highly anticipated open-world action RPG from developers FromSoftware, is set to release February 25, 2022. This game was created with the same dark fantasy setting as the Souls series and features a variety of new and exciting gameplay elements. 

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of development for the game, has promised players a world that is larger, more immersive, and filled with more challenging enemies than ever before. In addition, George Martin, the author of the popular A Song of Ice and Fire series, has served as a consultant and co-author of the script. There are seven main attributes to customize: Power, Intelligence, Patience, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Arcana. In addition to the customizable attributes, players can also use bottles of tears (blue for concentration points and red for health) and eat various food and drinks to gain temporary boosts to their attributes.

The combat system in Elden Ring is similar to that of the Souls games, but with an added layer of complexity. Players can use melee weapons, bows/crossbows, and magic to battle enemies. Although the game does not feature difficulty levels, the game is still challenging for both veterans and newcomers alike. 

One of the weaker aspects of Elden Ring is the lack of enemy variety, as most enemies look and behave similarly. This does not detract from the overall experience as the combat system is still engaging and rewarding.
